AUSTEN Arrowheads secured promotion to Division One after a comfortable win against Royston Town Youth.

Austen responded immediately with a trademark Courtney ball over the top that Ahmed stabbed into the net after beating a Royston defender.

Royston levelled when a corner was spilled by Newport into his own net for what was an unfortunate goal.

Austen were back in front shortly afterwards when Ahmed chipped the ball into the net from a superb Thompson right wing pass.

Kearse mad it three moments later when he found the corner through a sea of bodies in the penalty box.

Austen started the second half with some slick passing at the edge of the box as they looked to take charge of the game.

Within two minutes the game was put beyond Royton's reach with two Austen strikes. Firstly, Ahmed turned home a long-range Courtney throw-in at the near post, and Thompson poked home a loose ball.

Adagun made it 6-1 on 48 minutes with a low strike after battling well for possession.

Thompson grabbed his second on 22 minutes with an excellent finish before Courtney showed great strength to complete the rout on 65 minutes.
