ARRIVING to their leavers prom by car just wouldn't cut it for some pupils at Melbourn Village College.
Ice cream vans, lorries, scooters and a truck covered in balloons were just some of the novel ways in which pupils arrived on Friday night.
A casino and disco helped to get the night going, and a sit-down meal was served by some rather familiar waiters - teachers from the school, including the principal.
An Oscar-themed award ceremony helped to round off the evening.
Gary Pullin, head of Year 11, said: "It was a fantastic evening and one of the best we think the school has ever had.
"The students were a credit to the school and looked absolutely stunning.
"If they tackle their exams with such style and finesse then they will all go far.
