ARMED police were called to a flat in Newmarket Road, Royston on Sunday after a man was found dead.
Residents at the Beeches were instructed to remain in their flats as officers secured the area, just after 10.20am.
Police said that two people were arrested at the scene, but were quickly released as the situation became clearer.
A doctor later attended the scene and confirmed that the man's death was not suspicious.
The man who died has been identified as Geoffrey Van Leeuwen.
He was 46 years old and leaves a wife, Janice.

The case has now been referred to the Hertfordshire Coroner's Office, who will decide if an inquest should take place.
