POLICE are appealing for witnesses and information following an alleged incident of TV fraud in Royston.

Officers were called to Princes Mews on Saturday at around 3.55pm to reports members of the public were being offered televisions for sale.

Hertfordshire constabulory attended and found a white van with three TV shells in which did not work.

A short time later three males, who are 31, 16 and 20 years old, were arrested.

DC Barry Townsend, investigating, said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time and was approached by people trying to sell TVs to contact me with information. I would also appeal to anyone who may have seen the white van with the registration plate beginning KT07 in the area to call.”

Anyone with information should call the DC Townsend at Stevenage police station on 01438 757274. Alternatively call Crimestoppers, an independent charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
