AN antique collection box and rug have been stolen from a church.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the incident, which occurred at the Church of St George in Anstey between 4.30pm on August 28 and 10.30am on August 29.

The offenders entered the church and removed the wooden collection box from the wall, as well as taking the rug from the floor of the vestry.

Anyone with information about who is responsible for this crime, or where the items, are should contact PC Dean Watson via the Herts Police non-emergency number 101. Alternatively contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
