Pupils, who have been studying ancient Egypt as part of their history topic, dressed in tunics on Friday morning.
And then they got stuck in to making additional items for their costumes, including wigs, jewellery and head dresses.
Making Egyptian pizza, an adaptation of flat bread, was a popular activity.
Year 4 teacher, Maria Poultney, said: "The day gave them chance to experience the Egyptian life. Some of the children even kept the costumes on for the whole day.
