STEEPLE Morden scout hut is to undergo much needed repairs after receiving free roofing materials.

The Pightle Mordens 6th Royston Air Scout Group in Steeple Morden has been given the materials by Ruberoid Building Products as part of the company's Fix That Hut campaign which aims to help community buildings in need of repair.

Ken Murphy, from the group, said they were "really pleased" to be receiving the free roofing and waterproofing products.

He added: "The village scout hut has always been central to Steeple Morden, and will now continue to provide the local community with a meeting place for many years to come.
