An air cadet from Crow country represented her squadron on a trip to Gibraltar.
Corporal Darienne Chesham, 15, from Melbourn, visited RAF Gibraltar, where she met other cadets from central and eastern Europe.
A member of the 2484 (Bassingbourn) squadron, Corporal Chesham enjoyed a range of activities, climbing the rock stopping to see the WW2 tunnels, St. Michaels cave and the world famous apes.
As the group were staying the RAF station they were also able to visit the dog, bomb disposable and fire section where they were able to see the types of dogs used, equipment used for bomb disposable and fire engines used to protect the island, and observe the daily duties carried out by RAF personnel stationed there.
Corporal Chesham said: “This camp was a once in a lifetime experience and I’m so grateful for having the opportunity. It’s one camp I won’t forget.”
