THE East Anglian Air Ambulance landed in Melbourn on Tuesday to thank a company for donating office premises to the charity. The machine landed at Melbourn Village College where it was met by students and staff from TTP, which is providing the office at the Science Park. The premises will enable Alison Horsley, regional fund-raiser, and her team of volunteers a better equipped facility to run fund-raising campaigns across the region. Company managing director Gerald Avison said: "We had some spare space and we thought why not allow them to use it." - The charity will be touring the region with a new air ambulance later this year. It will cost about £110,000-a-month to run will have new equipment and be able to carry two patients. - To become a volunteer fund-raiser call Alison Horsley on 01763 262697.
