There was plenty of treasure to be discovered at Royston Museum on Wednesday as they held a pirate-themed craft session.
Curator Jenny Oxley helped to organise the event which saw children design some pirate accessories and even their own colourful parrot. Museum assistant Jenny Benton, pictured above, had no hesitation in getting stuck in and trying out their creations.
Jenny said: “The kids had great fun with the Pirate theme, making hats, eye patches and parrots with rainbow feathers – it looked like so much fun I had a go myself!”
The next crafty theme will be the circus and this will take place on Wednesday this week at the museum in Lower King Street.
It’s a drop-in activity with no need to book in advance, costing £3 per child.
