Last month Clive Porter thought his photographic career was over when his camera, SD cards and memory sticks were stolen from the boot of his car.

Although he vowed he would never return to photography, friends urged him to continue taking pictures to help him regain his confidence.

He said: “ For a while I had no inclination of ever picking up a camera again.

“However, numerous folk influenced me to give it another try, and not to allow the perpetrators to win.

“I would like to thank the many people, including the wonderful staff at the Melbourn Hub who helped to coax me back to some sort of normality.

“I also extend gratitude to the members of both the Royston and Melbourn photographic clubs who have loaned me equipment to help me regain my confidence once more.”

Now Clive is back on his feet, he is promoting a series of recently published Christmas greetings cards.

The cards depict numerous winter scenes in time for the festive period.

The series features five images from Melbourn and seven from Royston, which Clive says ‘make ideal Christmas cards.’
