An adventure course has been installed at York Way in Royston.
Work on the new ‘Trim Trail’ – which was built to encourage children of all ages to develop their key skills and increase physical activity – finished at the end of October.
Councillor Tony Hunter, responsible for community engagement at North Herts District Council, said: “York Way already had play equipment for younger children, but there was little to keep older children entertained.
“The council listened to requests from parents, local schools and children who live in the area and worked in partnership with Groundwork Hertfordshire to provide something that will benefit the community for years to come.”
Groundwork Hertfordshire landscape services manager Graham Phillips said: “We are delighted to be part of a project that provides exercise and fitness opportunities for all.”
