A support charity based at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge has received a donation of more than £800 from a housing developer.
Tom’s Trust – formerly based in Fowlmere – has been given £860 by CALA Homes to help them continue to provide support and clinical psychology for children with brain tumours and their families.
Tom’s Trust community fundraiser Emily Tickridge said: “We are so grateful to CALA Homes for their support of Tom’s Trust.
“The service provided is vital for the long term well-being of children suffering with a brain tumour, as well as helping to support the child’s family.
“Any child in the east of England diagnosed with a brain tumour will be treated at Addenbrooke’s Hospital by the Tom’s Trust team.
“Our charity also offers vital support to those families who sadly lose a child, as they are the silent victims of the disease.”
