MELBOURN’S Lucy Leach took an 80ft plunge last week – and raised over 1,000 in the process.
The 12-year-old abseiled down the Cambridge Guildhall on Saturday in aid of East Anglia Children’s Hospice (EACH).
She was the youngest of 80 to take up the challenge, which hoped to raise 12,000 for EACH, having passed the minimum age requirement for an abseil by just seven days.
Lucy said: “I didn’t think it looked too high at first but I changed my mind when I looked over the edge. I was glad I took part though and am so pleased I got to the bottom to raise the money.”
