A road was closed for almost an hour due to an injured deer.

Police were called at 7.18am to the A505 in between Baldock and Royston, near Weston Hills Tunnel, after a member of the public alerted them to an injured deer that was lying at the side of the carriageway.

The deer was discovered to have broken his leg and the road was closed in both directions until 8.15am.
