A group which has campaigned for a safe cycle route along the A10 corridor between Royston and Cambridge has organised an awareness-raising event.

The A10 Awareness Ride will take place next Sunday, May 17, starting at either The Cross in Melbourn Street, Royston, at 10.15am or Trumpington Park and Ride in Cambridge at 9.45am.

After the long pedal, the groups will meet at Phillimore Garden Centre in Melbourn for well deserved cake and tea.

At Phillimore there will be a free bike check, a bicycle smoothie maker, and lots of different types of bikes for curious would-be cyclists to try out – all free, family friendly, and in a safely enclosed two-acre site in the meadow alongside the Phillimore Garden Centre entrance.

You don’t have to go on the morning ride – just come along to Phillimore’s any time from 11am until 2pm. Further details can be found at www.a10corridorcycle.com.
