A group of daredevils with a keen interest in the occult carried out a paranormal investigation of Royston Museum on Saturday, led by the town's very own ghost hunter Damien O'Dell.
It was a case of lights off and EMF meter on as the team, joined by Crow reporter Rebecca Day, used a host of techniques to communicate with the ghosts and ghouls until the early hours of Sunday morning.
Descending into the cellar, ‘Psychic Dave’ Griffiths told the story of a young lady who died in the room, prompting one member of the group, Donna Fiddeman, to come over in a dizzy sweat.
She said: “My heart was pounding.
“The experience has been amazing, I’m already signed up to the next investigation.”
Dave then brought out the pendulum to ask questions to the shy spirit known as Maria, then members of the group investigated the exhibition rooms using dowsing rods before a seance was carried out in the main museum hall.
Guest Tom Ivinson said: “The evening was really interesting and very different - not a typical Saturday night.
“It was great to speak to Psychic Dave and find out more about the work that he does and the experiences he has had. I’d definitely do it again.”
