All Meridian School students who received their A-level results this morning are going to their university of choice.

Year 13 students at the Royston school achieved a 97 per cent pass rate in their A-level exams, with 20 per cent of students achieving an A* or A grade.

Assistant Head, David Atkins, said: “At a time when A-levels are becoming more and more challenging, it was a delight to see so many smiling faces here at Meridian on results day. We wish students well as they embark on university courses, apprenticeships and exciting careers.”

Deputy headteacher, Kim Horner, said: “The results are a testament to the hard work of students, the dedication of staff and the support of parents. We wish our students, who have made a significant contribution to the life of the school, well in their chosen careers and university courses.”

Head of Sixth Form. Jess Weatherall, said: “I’m really proud of all of our students today. It’s great to see them take this next step in their lives. We wish them all well in whatever they choose to do.”
