A MOTORCYCLE club presented three charities with cheques after raising £9,000 in just four hours.

The Royston and District Motorcycle Club raised the money from its 21st annual bike show in June when more than 2,000 machines were on display.

The cheques were presented to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, the emergency doctor service Magpas, and Meldreth Manor School.

Club member Brian Bulley said: "It's amazing the amount of money we raised. Over the years the year show has been building up, and now people visit from right across the country."

- Next year's show is planned to take place on June 20.
