A Royston handyman is taking a step back in time to raise money for terminally ill children.

David Knight has organised an 80s themed fundraiser for the Make a Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to children fighting life-threatening conditions.

It’s the first fundraising event David has arranged, and he’s received numerous donations from local businesses to be auctioned off.

He said: “It’s something that everyone should consider doing. Everybody should try to give something back if they get a chance. I thought if I organise a party it would be a good way to get people together and at the same time raise some money for charity.”

David will be dressed as iconic 80s presenter Timmy Mallet and his wife will be dolled up as Princess Leia from Star Wars for the party on Saturday, November 29, at Royston Football Club.
