OVER 25-tonnes of grain were spilt across the A10 closing the road early on Saturday morning.
The 29-tonne load of animal feed was being transported from a mill in Liverpool to Rand Brothers, Hatch Penn Road, Reed, when the articulated lorry overturned near the Sun Hill junction on London Road, Royston, at around 6.45am.
Hertfordshire police were notified and closed the A10, from Reed to Layton Park, soon after arriving.
Grain covered several doorsteps and Hertfordshire highways were called to clean the scene, normal service was resumed at 12.14pm.
The driver sustained minor injuries to his arm.
