A new Christmas campaign featuring decorations, lights and moving floating clouds has arrived at a Cambridgeshire shopping centre.

The Grand Arcade in Cambridge launched its festive campaign, Discover the Wonder, on November 3, which features sparkling Christmas lights and hot air balloons, plus brand-new moving clouds floating across the atrium.

To mark the start of the celebrations, the centre will host a special event on November 15, from 11.30am to 4.30pm, featuring live entertainment from singers, dancers, and choirs as part of Cambridge’s official Christmas Light Switch On.

Martin Macwhinnie, centre manager at Grand Arcade, said: "The most magical time of year is nearly here, and we are beyond thrilled to be welcoming our community to celebrate Discover the Wonder this Christmas for what will be another season of festive floating magic and merriment."

The theme turns the centre into a dreamy Christmas scene filled with interactive displays and characters.

Visitors can meet Rudolph, post wishes in a talking letterbox and explore Santa’s House, where a laughing Brussels sprout sits beside Santa’s Christmas dinner.
