Summer ball raises thousands for Great Ormond Street

A glittering summer ball has raised over £12,000 for Great Ormond Street, bringing together guests for an unforgettable evening of generosity.

The GOSH Summer Ball, held on July 5 at Burloes Hall in Royston, Hertfordshire, was organised by Team Cerys D with help from Royston-based marketing agency C4B Media and headline sponsor Sagecliffe Resort.

(Image: C4B Media) The night saw £12,200 raised for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Cerys Durkin, who inspired the formation of Team Cerys D, said: "The GOSH Summer Ball 2025 was the perfect finale to 16 years of dedicated fundraising for a hospital that’s so close to our hearts.

"We are overwhelmed by the generosity shown by everyone who supported the event - thank you from the bottom of our hearts."

Speeches, entertainment, bids and donations filled the evening.

The funds raised on the night have brought the total Team Cerys D have raised for GOSH over the last 16 years to £65,137.77.

Team Cerys D has now decided to focus their fundraising efforts on Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT).

Cerys is now on the Cambridge Children’s Hospital Youth Forum, advocating for a more holistic approach to care.

She said: "We’re excited for what lies ahead, and proud to support ACT as they help bring a pioneering new hospital to life."
