On this day in 2015, the team at Letchworth’s David’s Bookshop announced an exciting signing event featuring celebrity chef Rick Stein.

The renowned fish fan was set to discuss his latest book, From Venice to Istanbul, in a conversation with food writer Tom Jaine.

The event was scheduled to take place at the town’s Broadway Cinema on Sunday, September 6, starting at 3.15pm.

Tickets were priced at £25, which included a hardback copy of the book, with an option for a pair of tickets and one book for £30.

Rick Stein expressed his enthusiasm for the culinary journey, stating: "I like to think of Venice and Istanbul as two large books propping up a shelf full of stories about the cooking of the Eastern Mediterranean."

His book featured over 100 recipes inspired by his travels through Greece and Croatia, showcasing the rich flavours of the Eastern Mediterranean.
