A new sergeant has been appointed to lead the Royston and Royston Rural Neighbourhood Policing Team.

Sergeant Lisa Perks has joined the team which is stationed in Melbourn Street, having begun her working for the constabulary in 1997.

She has largely served in front line roles.

Sgt Perks said: "I’m really looking forward to serving the Royston and Royston Rural communities and developing the work which my predecessor, Sgt Ryan Champion, oversaw.

"I have been a sergeant for the past three years and will use that experience to work with the communities of Royston and Royston Rural, while also being passionate about supporting my team and helping them to further their careers."
