Royston Photographic Society has named the three winning photos for its first competition of 2024.

The open competition accepted photos on all subjects, and was judged by Naomi Saul.

First place went to Peter Baker for his photo 'A Path of Many Colours', which was taken on a club day out to Canary Wharf last summer.

In second place was club chairman Peter Andrew, for his picture of the altar at Ely Cathedral.

The shot was also taken on a club day out, and was praised for capturing an "amazing array of detail" in difficult conditions of light and shade.

Peter Baker also came in third place for his photo 'Hold that Pose', taken during a shoot in Leeds.

The society meets at 7.45pm on Thursdays at Icknield Walk School during term time. New members are welcome to come along or email Andrew Gillborn on andrew.gillborn@btinternet.com.
