Have you got a special memory of North Herts from the last 50 years?

North Herts Council is celebrating its 50th birthday on April 1, and is calling on residents to send in their memories, videos and photographs.

These will help showcase 50 years of North Herts in the council's residents' magazine, across  social media channels and in newsletters.

Any 50th memories could also be featured in an exhibition at North Herts Museum.

Ros Allwood, the museum's cultural services manager, said: "Whether it’s a favourite spot or a special or unusual event, please share your memory with us."

To submit your memory go to https://www.north-herts.gov.uk/memories.

You can also bring photos along in person to North Herts Museum in Brand Street, Hitchin.

As part of their 50th celebrations, the council will be creating a dedicated page on their website to promote events happening across the district during the year.

If you have an event you would like included, email comms@north-herts.gov.uk.

Cllr Elizabeth Dennis, leader of North Herts Council, said: "It's people that make North Herts and we want to celebrate North Herts Council turning 50 and to 50 years of our communities coming together and making North Herts the special place it is."
