Royston Runners donned festive costumes to raise money for charity at their annual Christmas run around Bassingbourn.

The event took place on Sunday, December 10, with Santas, elves and even Christmas trees racing through the streets around Bassingbourn, Litlington and Abington Piggots.

As part of the event, the runners held their first fundraising raffle for Royston and District Community Transport - raising £328 in total.

A spokesperson for the charity said: "We are so grateful for your support. Thank you one and all!"

Royston Runners are based at the Heath Sports Club, and have been an active running club since 1985.

The club has more than 300 members, and welcomes runners of all levels and abilities, meeting twice a week in all weathers.

Royston and District Community Transport offers door-to-door transport seven days a week for people living in Royston and surrounding villages.

The service offers transport to those who are unable to use public transport because of age, impaired mobility, frailty - or simply the lack of public transport or use of a car.
