Royston Runners raised £886 for East Anglia's Children's Hospice's to celebrate the club's 23rd anniversary.

Each year the running club marks its anniversary with a 10k run around Royston, finishing at the Heath Sports Centre.

All members are asked to bring a cake, either homemade or shop bought, in the evening after the run, which are then auctioned off to raise money.

The surplus cakes were donated to Richard Cox House assisted living residence and the Royston Foodbank the next day.

This was the club's last event for East Anglia's Children's Hospices, which they have supported throughout 2023.

Their charity for 2024 is Royston & District Community Transport, which provides door-to-door transport seven days a week for people living in the town.
