Royston Beaver Scouts did their bit to tidy their surroundings with a community litter pick.

This term, the 1st Royston Beaver Scouts have been working on their community impact badge, and learnt about preventing littering.

The children played games and made badges and signs to promote the topic.

To finish the topic they held a litter pick in Royston, where in one hour they collected four bin bags of rubbish.

The group thanked Royston Town Council for their loan of the litter pickers.

Beaver Scout leader Mel Davies, known as 'Hawk', said: "The Beaver Scouts really enjoyed the litter pick, as they felt like they were making a difference and some of them want to make it a regular activity!"
