Children from Barley and Barkway First Schools Federation learnt about the great outdoors as part of their Forest School.

The nursery, reception and Year 1 pupils spent the morning outdoors on Friday, May 26, and enjoyed creating ladybird art and building ladybird lodges.

Forest School leader Mrs West gathered all the pupils together to read a story, and then the children went on adventures in the Forest School area.

Barley and Barkway First Schools headteacher Mrs Brown said: "We are very fortunate to have a beautiful Forest School site donated to us by Newsells Park Stud and the children absolutely love going every half term to see what has changed and to have imaginary adventures, while also learning about the ever changing season and how this impacts on the wildlife, flora and fauna.
