Scouts in Royston received a donation of more than £500 to help renovate their scout hut.
Housebuilder Redrow South Midlands, which is currently building new homes at Hedera Gardens on Baldock Road, presented the 10th Royston Scout Group with £590 as part of its community fund initiative.
The money will be used to support the renovation of the group's existing hut, which serves as a space for the scouts to make friends, develop important life skills and pursue new hobbies, as well as learning how to work together as a team.
The scout hut was first installed more than 30 years ago, and is used by the 10th Royston Scout Group for their weekly meetings.
Group scout leader Louise Griffin said: "We are thrilled to have received this donation from Redrow South Midlands which will be used to maintain our scout hut.
"This donation will help bring together more young members of the Royston community together through a love of adventure – thank you again Redrow!"
The 10th Royston Scout Group ranges in age from six to 16, and aims to support children in their personal development by empowering them to make positive contributions to society through creative and memorable opportunities.

"We know the hut is well loved by the young Royston scouts and used as a social space to unwind and relax – while having fun and trying something new.
"Social activities and interacting with others offer the perfect opportunity to improve mental and physical wellbeing and so we are delighted to support a cause that does just this.
"We look forward to visiting the renovated hut soon and seeing the scouts in action."
