Dobbies garden centre in Royston is encouraging families to get artistic in the garden with its Little Seedlings Club workshop.

The free workshop takes place on Sunday, November 6, and will show children age four to 10 how to create beautiful garden art using pots, natural objects such as sticks, rocks and flowers, and recycled materials.

As part of the workshop, children will learn the value of exploring the outdoors and about the importance of recycling to the environment, as well as how recycled items such as plastic bottles and aluminium cans can be used to make beautiful garden art.

The team will share a variety of garden craft activities that aim to spark children's imagination and teach them how to be creative with nature.

Dobbies' partnership and events manager Sarah Murray said: "We are really looking forward to welcoming our Little Seedlings Club attendees this November.

"Gardens are full of warm tones during autumn, and we hope that our workshop helps children explore their creativity with arts and crafts to brighten their outside space sustainably.

"Our workshop is a great place for locals in Royston to meet new friends, learn more about the environment and try something new."
