Hatfield Town came from 2-0 down at home to draw 2-2 with Chesham United Reserves in the Spartan South Midlands Football League Division One.
This was a game that Hatfield were looking to win as they had struggled to get positive results of late.
Whereas Chesham were looking to carry on a good run of form in which they have won against Amersham 3-0 in their previous match and taken points from each of their last four games.
Chesham got off to a great start in Tuesday’s clash at the Gosling Stadium, taking a 2-0 lead into half-time including a goal in the 15th minute against the run of play and a penalty in the 41st minute.
However, the home side didn’t give in and were rewarded for their efforts when they scored in the 49th minute thanks to a goal from Jason Coughlan.
The Blueboys equalised in the 68th minute with a penalty scored by Ben Collins for his third goal of the season.
The final score was 2-2 and Hatfield are now fifth place in the league and are still challenging for promotion, however they are without a win in their last three games.
Hatfield face Buckingham Athletic at the Gosling Stadium on Saturday.
