A YOUNG dancer from Bassingbourn hopes to leave audiences wanting more after winning a part in West End musical Oliver.

Leah Brown, 12, who attends Bassingbourn Village College, has been selected to be part of the chorus line in Lionel Bart's classic musical. She will make her debut at the Theatre Royal on July 28.

She said: "I'd auditioned before and not been selected, so it was a great surprise to be chosen. I've already started rehearsals and can't wait for the shows to begin."

A member of the Tara Prior school of dance in Royston, Leah was selected after being put forward for the audition by the Sylvia Young agency. Here she sang hits from the show, including I'd do Anything.
