DIGNITARIES filled a refurbished church hall last weekend for a dedication service.
Ashwell United Reformed Church's hall was officially reopened in the presence of MP Oliver Heald, North Herts District Council chairman Cllr David Levett, plus other district councillors and members of Ashwell Parish Council.
Jackie Embury, one of the church elders, said: "The address was given by the URC Moderator Revd Dr Andrew Prasad. It was an opportunity to celebrate and give thanks to WREN, the district council, and The Merchant Taylors (The Henry Colbron Trust) for the grants and to everyone who supported this project by donations, fundraising or physical hard work that enabled this project to happen."
Mr Heald added: "This is a wonderful facility for Ashwell. I was pleased to have helped in a small way with the church's efforts to raise funds for the project.
