BASSINGBOURN'S air cadets "netted" their first accolade of the year at a recent sports tournament.
The 2484 squadron's junior girls netball team were victorious in a competition held at RAF Brampton. They fought off competition from across the region to take the trophy.
Cadet Aimee Pollock, who was part of the winning team and top scorer in the tournament, said: "This was the first time I have represented the Squadron at sports. I enjoyed the competition and winning made the day even better."
The teams instructor, Stephanie Trayhurn, added: "Once more our cadets displayed the range of talents our Squadron has in its midst as they played some excellent netball, winning all of their games to bring home the Silverware. Well done again to all of the cadets involved."
