COUNCILLORS got a grilling from some voters of the future this week.
District and county councillors Fiona Hill and Tony Hunter, together with town councillor Lindsay Davidson, visited Tannery Drift first school in Royston to meet with pupils on the school council and answer questions about local government.
Cllr Hunter said: "The children always come at things from a different angle, and covered such topics as recycling, roads, outside pools, play areas, and the slide in Priory Gardens.
"The visits are instigated by Lindsay Davidson, we hope that as well as making the children aware of who we are and what we do, that they might be inspired to become the councillors of the future," he said.
