LEGENDARY goalkeeper Peter Shilton regaled a sportsman's dinner in Royston with details of his glittering career.
Ex-Derby and Leicester keeper Shilton, who won a record 125 caps for England, was guest of honour at Royston Town's sportsman evening, which was held at the club's Garden Walk home.
Royston Town president Alan Barlow said: "I met Peter when he opened the all weather pitch at Meridian last September and I was really impressed how approachable and down to earth he was - so I invited him to come at the Club to speak.
"It really was a fantastic evening a great atmosphere created by a great sporting personality," he said.
