SCRAP and new batteries worth more than �10,000 combined have been stolen from a power station between Melbourn and Royston.
Intruders broke into the EDF site off the A10 between March 4 and this morning (March 21).
They raided two containers, one containing about five tonnes of scrap batteries and the other eight tonnes of new batteries. The new batteries were yellow Powersafe and grey Yuasa brands.
