A fun run in Royston offered up a great day for all of the family, with 120 people putting their best foot forward.
The first person to cross the finish line at the 3k Family Summer Fun Run was eight-year-old Henry Silver, who completed the run in a speedy 15 minutes.
Royston’s former mayor Victoria Hulstrom-Allen also took part in the fun run with her son, rounding off her year of civic duties.
North Hertfordshire district councillor Fiona Hill and Royston town councillor Lindsay Davidson had the honour of starting the race at Royston Leisure Centre and were poised to hand out medals to children crossing the finishing line. District councillor Tony Hunter also attended the event.
Bottles of water were given to each runner at the end of the race thanks to a donation from Tesco Royston Extra organised by the store’s community champion, Mandy Jinkerson.
