Meridian Upper School art students have produced some fantastic pieces this year and have teamed up with local artist Stacey Leigh to exhibit their work.
Among the guests who came to see the exhibition at the Royston School was North Herts District Council chairman Councillor Ray Shakespeare-Smith.
The school’s head of art Jo Alton said: “We are delighted with the quality of work that the students have produced and it is such an honour to exhibit their work alongside an artist of Stacey Leigh’s calibre.
“We have had a great year inspiring the students with visiting experts from the Royal Academy and have taken the students to a real range of studios and galleries in London.
“Everyone’s dedication and commitment to the subject is clearly evident in this exhibition.”
Stacey Leigh added: “I got so much inspiration from this exhibition. Looking through their youthful eyes has renewed my interest in themes and techniques I’d long forgotten.”
The school says it is keen to collaborate in the future with more local artists to raise the profile of the high standard of art that exists in the local community.
