More than 30,000 people watched as historic aircraft took to the sky for an unforgettable display at Duxford’s Flying Legends Air Show.
The weekend was packed with a host of spectacular events, with an even more spectacular flying show.
The display included a tail chase of 14 Spitfires and a Seafire, the gleaming P38 Lightning and B25J Mitchell from the Flying Bulls, the rare sight of the Bf (Me) 109G-4 Red Seven and more than 25 historic aircraft in the world renowned balbo finale.
Esther Blaine from Duxford Imperial War Museum said: “There are too many highlights to mention, but they include the wonderful Manhattan Dolls and the extraordinary Laurel and Hardy in the Vintage Village.”
The village recreated the magic of the 1940s with an authentic wartime atmosphere.
Robert Rutherford, who was over from Scotland to see the show, tweeted: “Fantastic time had at Duxford on Saturday.
“Got very sunburnt. We don’t get sunshine in Glasgow. Not used to it.”
