A charity which helps families in crisis in Royston and South Cambs is to benefit from funds donated by the Co-op.
The firm chose the Home-Start Royston and South Cambs as one of three causes to be funded by Co-op members through their Local Community Fund, which runs from 9 April to October 7 2017.
The funding will enable Home-Start to run a Volunteer Training Course – ensuring that they have enough volunteers to provide crucial practical and emotional support local vulnerable families.
Home-Start’s new fundraiser Roman Maczkiewicz said: “Co-op members were most interested to learn that the Co-op gives 1 per cent of everything they spend on Co-op branded products to the charities in the Co-op Local Fund.”
