Computer network issues at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge have now been resolved after a ‘major incident’.
The incident which happened earlier this afternoon resulted in the closure of the A&E department.
Just after 5.30pm a message was published on the Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Trust website, which said: “Cambridge University Hospitals can confirm computer network issues have now been resolved.
“However, patients are advised that our Accident and Emergency department is still extremely busy and as a consequence we remain in major incident.
CUH would like to thank patients and staff for their support during this incident.”
If you intend on going to A&E, go to cambridgeshireandpeterboroughccg.nhs.uk/news-and-events/campaigns/choose-well-stay-well for a list of alternative hospital sites.
