Crowds flock to Wimpole farm for Cambridgeshire County Show 2018

They were treated to a programme in the main ring including displays from the Bolddog Lings FMX display team and the Welsh Axemen.

There was also a display of vintage tractors to show how much times have changed, and a sheep show which entertained visitors in the livestock area, together with rare breeds of sheep, and prize winning cattle.

The best view of the showground in all its splendour was said to be from the top of the big wheel in the fairground, which many enjoyed a ride in.

The Cambridgeshire young farmers were well represented by six clubs competing in their annual competitions ranging from wood work to flower arranging, as well as their traditional exploits in the main ring.

County president Stephen Eayrs said: “The young farmers contributed greatly to the atmosphere of the show.”

Scott Rix, show chairman, said: “The huge effort from the organising Committee had been rewarded by the super support from the exhibitors and public who had attended the show.”
