A deer has died after colliding with two vehicles on the outskirts of Royston yesterday.
Police were called at about 6.30pm to reports of a deer on the carriageway of the A10 London Road, heading towards Buntingford.
Cars were having to swerve to avoid the deer, who was deceased when police officers arrived.
It was removed from the road by a vet while police managed the traffic.
A police spokeswoman said: βIt appears that two vehicles hit the deer but only one motorist stopped. She was not injured, and her car was damaged, but was still driveable.β
