A light aircraft crashed in a field yesterday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to an airstrip in Caldecote Road, Newnham.
Fire crews from Baldock and Stevenage went to the aid of the pilot after the aircraft came down just after 3pm.
The pilot was not injured and the matter will be looked at by specialist air crash investigators.
Firefighters were at the scene to stop fuel spilling.
