Thieves forced their way into two vehicles and stole valuable items in Ashwell last week.
An offender smashed the rear passenger window of a silver Citroen C3 hatchback and stole CDs overnight between last Tuesday and Wednesday in Green Lane.
In the second incident, a thief forced their way into a white Vauxhall Combo van and stole two power drills and Tom Ford sunglasses overnight between last Wednesday and Thursday in Bear Lane.
Investigating officer, PC Mike Hardiman from Royston’s Rural Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the stated times and saw anyone acting suspiciously to please get in contact as soon as possible – reports of suspicious incidents, people or vehicles may be of help.
“I would also stress to local people the need to stay vigilant and make sure all vehicles are left locked and secure overnight.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Hardiman on 101 with crime reference numbers G4/15/568 and G4/15/572.
