There’s all sorts of clowning around as well as death-defying daredevil displays on offer this week as Circus Wonderland rolls into Stevenage for the first time.
The travelling team pitch up at the Fairlands Valley Park showground site on Wednesday, and promise to have audiences transfixed by a show which includes vampires and angels swooping and soaring through the air in a spectacular flight of fantasy.
Spanish stars Nico and Angelica are putting on a dexterous display of whirlwind juggling while Hungarian acrobat Devid Adam is going to work perched perilously high in the roof of the Big Top.
Clowns Kakehole and Mr Popol with their pal Bertie the Bear have music, magic and mayhem in mind – they have a trunk full of tricks, and watch out for the exploding grand piano.
The show runs until Sunday with performances at 4.30pm and 7.30pm during the week, on Saturday at 2pm and 5pm, and on Sunday at 2pm only. For information and tickets call 07531 612240 or log on to www.circuswonderland.co.uk.
